GIS Skate Night
In 2005, the PTO introduced this "Fun"-Raiser for families with 4th and 5th grade students at Glenwood Intermediate School and it has been gaining in popularity each year. Teachers, administrators, students and their families ice skate together at the Nelson Center in Springfield. Food is available for purchase, prizes are raffled and the "Chuck-a-puck" game has been a favorite! Volunteers help with planning and selling tickets and food.
